Kigali, March 8th<\/sup> 2021<\/strong> \u2013 The African Institute for Mathematical Sciences, Rwanda (AIMS Rwanda) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the International Software Quality Institute GmbH (iSQl) to provide a framework for the deliverance of various iSQl certifications, facilitate networking with international IT organisations, as well as joint marketing and public engagement initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAIMS Rwanda is thrilled to formalise its partnership with iSQl and even more eager to explore the opportunities that lie ahead. Through this agreement, AIMS will become an Accredited Training Provider for various iSQl certifications, which will boost our students\u2019 and alumni employability skills and enhance their transition to relevant employment opportunities. I believe a partnership with iSQI will significantly contribute to the AIMS mission of enabling Africa\u2019s brightest students to flourish as independent thinkers, problem solvers and innovators capable of propelling Africa\u2019s scientific, educational and economic self-sufficiency,\u201d said Professor Sam Yala, AIMS Rwanda President.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe main idea behind all our schemes is not to just collect a certificate and put it on your wall. The main idea is to get a better qualification to help you do your job better. Certifications help professionals to prove their qualifications with internationally recognised programs; helping them to grow their careers and compete globally. They are an access to international communities, and you become a member of a worldwide family. Becoming a part of this global network, exchanging the experiences, taking part in conferences, and getting access to white papers are additional benefits of certifications. The upcoming pilot training session in collaboration with AIMS is a step in the right direction to becoming certified professionals and this opportunity is in line with the ICT roadmap of Rwanda,\u201d \u2013  Stephan Goericke, CEO iSQI Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To kick off this partnership\u2019s implementation, AIMS Rwanda and iSQI will organise the first Certification Program<\/strong> on<\/strong> ISTQB CERTIFIED TESTER \u2013 Foundation Level CTFL <\/strong>from 8-13 March 2021. This maiden training, which will target AIMS alumni and tutors living in Rwanda, will be delivered online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
